Industrial — Laydown Yard
Shannon Bradley
Eight-acre industrial laydown yard in Gastonia with clearing, erosion control, mass and fine grading, asphalt and stone paving, fencing, survey and testing support.
Gastonia, NC · 2026
John E. Jenkins, Inc. delivered the sitework package for Shannon-Bradley Laydown, an eight-acre industrial yard in Gastonia designed for durable storage, access and equipment movement.
The work began with mobilization, construction surveying, clearing and grubbing, erosion-control setup, and topsoil stripping with staging and export. Jenkins then shaped the site through mass grading and fine grading, preparing the yard for heavy-use access and paved working areas.
Field crews handled drainage cleanup, slope stabilization, asphalt millings consolidation, compaction and onsite asphalt and stone paving. The package also included materials testing coordination, fence installation and closeout cleanup to turn the site into a usable laydown yard.
Building a laydown yard, industrial storage site or heavy-use equipment area? Jenkins can prepare the site from clearing and grading through paving, drainage cleanup and closeout.
